Ken Heptonstall - Managing Director
Ken founded Headland in 1991. A marketing graduate
from Newcastle University he held senior marketing and design roles
at both Yorkshire Television and ITV promoting British television
worldwide. Ken was the driving force behind Headland's commitment
to the internet as early as 1996. He heads up the management and
strategy of the agency but also continues to provide the day to day
account direction on several major clients. His website accounts
are spread from financial to legal, and recruitment to media.
When not working you will find Ken either walking or jogging
across the nearest range of hills and worrying about the fortunes
of Leeds United as he goes.
Martin Dean - Director
Martin has over twenty years experience working with
a range of blue chip clients and brands within the digital and the
broadcast television. Prior to joining Headland Martin was
Commercial Manager at Yorkshire Television studios and worked on
brand marketing and development as well as production roles on the
Heartbeat, Emmerdale, Countdown and Touch of Frost TV brands. He
has in recent years delivered a number of web site re-launches and
system developments for Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank,
Santander and leads on the agencies work for one of the UK's
leading mutuals The Nottingham.
Graeme Wilson - Director
A graduate of Norwich School of Art & Design and
London Business School Graeme has sixteen years marketing
experience in digital businesses. He specialises in marketing
communications and new product development. At Electronic Arts in a
six year spell as Marketing Services Director he worked on TTL
product launch campaigns for games titles such as FIFA, Theme Park,
PGA Tour Golf and The Sims. Graeme has worked in digital pay TV
technology at Pace marketing set-top technology in partnership with
Sky, NTL and Canal+ work which included the trade launches of both
Sky Digital and Sky+. In his six years at Headland his web credits
include: Matalan, Leeds City Council, Alton Towers and National
Express.
Working helps to pay for the large number of golf
balls Graeme loses each weekend. So you don't think golf is cool,
well he's a Sunderland fan as well!
Isabel Allen - Project Director
As the former Head of eBusiness at Nottingham Trent
University Isabel was responsible for the implementation of online
integrated services across the organisation allowing students to
undertake all essential processes. Examples of these include
booking accommodation, accessing exam results, registering for open
days and graduation ceremonies. She has subsequently worked as a
project manager on a broad range of complex CMS and integration
projects for clients such as Which?, the Tate and Rentokil
Initial.
Craig Pickles - Technical Director
Craig Pickles has over 23 years professional
experience in programming and heads up the development team at
Headland. Craig started by writing commercial games for home
computers at 15. He has 13 years experience in the development of
corporate multimedia applications and emarketing. Over his career
he has worked on a wide range of client projects and campaigns
including delivering SEO, email and interactive campaigns for
financial services, ecommerce and retail accounts including
Alliance & Leicester, Matalan, AXA, Avon Insurance, Alton
Towers and HB Markets.
Geoff McMullan - Technical Lead
Geoff has 14 years experience of developing online
applications for a range of blue chip clients. An experienced
technical lead for both Ektron and bespoke CMS websites he
graduated from Liverpool University with a degree in Computer
Sciences. Geoff heads up Headlands financial services technical
activity and amongst his credits are the development and management
of the HMRC Tax payment system, the integration of online
applications for Alliance & Leicester Commercial bank and the
rebranding of 12 ALCB sites to the Santander
branding.
Andy Cooke - Senior Designer
Andy has over 14 years professional experience, and
has demonstrated great flexibility while working on a wide variety
of briefs in his time at Headland. The essence of his creative
approach is usability and clarity. Much of Andy's work has involved
delivering solutions for high profile clients such as Alton Towers
Resort, Matalan and Universal Studios.
